Assam CM Launches ‘CM-FLIGHT’ to Train Youth in Foreign Languages for Global Job Market

Assam Date: July 30, 2025: In a major initiative aimed at empowering the youth of Assam with global employment opportunities, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the launch of the Chief Minister’s Foreign Language Initiative for Global Human Talent (CM-FLIGHT). The announcement was made through his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, accompanied by a promotional poster explaining the project.

About the CM-FLIGHT Programme
CM-FLIGHT is designed to open up global job markets for the youth of Assam by providing expert training in foreign languages. In its pilot phase, the project will focus on training 180 candidates in the Japanese language, with the goal of facilitating their employment under Japan’s Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) visa program.

Each selected candidate will receive training valued at ₹1,50,000, completely free of cost.
