Guwahati: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) carried out a special drain-cleaning drive at Lachit Nagar on Tuesday, aiming to improve waste management and prevent waterlogging in the area.
The drive was conducted under the leadership of Executive Engineer Shri Bubul Chandra Borah, who also interacted with local residents during the initiative. He listened to their concerns and suggestions to strengthen ongoing cleanliness efforts.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Borah highlighted the importance of community participation in ensuring a cleaner, greener, and sustainable Guwahati. He urged residents to cooperate with GMC’s initiatives and adopt responsible waste disposal practices.
The corporation also shared glimpses of the drive, showcasing active engagement between officials and residents. Officials reiterated that such initiatives will continue across the city to build a more resilient urban environment.
