Dhemaji, October 21: Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu announced that a special meeting of the NDA alliance was held at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Dhemaji District Committee office to discuss preparations for a massive public rally scheduled for October 24.
The meeting was attended by MP Pradan Baruah and MLA Bhubon Pegu, along with leaders and members of NDA ally parties, including the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and Samannita Gana Shakti.
In a post on X, Pegu stated that the discussions focused on ensuring smooth coordination for the rally, which aims to demand justice for the late artist Zubeen Garg — a beloved figure across Assam. He added that the BJP and its allies also discussed plans to pay tribute to the iconic singer through a series of organized programs.
Expressing his deep admiration for Zubeen Garg, Pegu wrote, “I am also a Zubeen admirer — we all are Zubeen admirers.”
