Guwahati, Nov 1: The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the Assam Legislative Assembly on Friday decided that the upcoming Winter Session will be held for five days, starting from November 25.
The meeting of the BAC, presided over by Assembly Speaker Biswajit Daimary, was attended by MLAs from various political parties. Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya had earlier summoned the Winter Session of the Assembly.
As per the decision taken, the Session will have five working days — November 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29, 2025.
According to sources, another BAC meeting is scheduled for November 25, the opening day of the Session. The committee will decide on any possible extension of the Winter Session if necessary.
