Nalbari, November 6: Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu inaugurated the Assam Book Fair at Nalbari today. The event has been organized by the Publication Board Assam (PBA) in collaboration with the 92nd Nalbari Rass Mahotsav Celebration Committee at the premises of Sri Sri Harimandir.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Minister Pegu expressed his pleasure at inaugurating the fair, describing it as a meaningful addition to the long-standing cultural and spiritual celebration of the Nalbari Rass Mahotsav, which marks its 92nd edition this year.
“The Nalbari Rass Mahotsav stands as a cherished cultural and spiritual tradition. This book fair adds a meaningful dimension to the celebration by promoting reading and providing a platform for authors, publishers, and readers to connect,” he stated.
Encouraging people to participate, Pegu urged everyone, especially the younger generation, to visit the fair and deepen their engagement with literature.
The book fair is expected to attract a large number of visitors, fostering literary enthusiasm alongside the festive spirit of the Rass Mahotsav.
