In view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to Hojai district on April 6, the district administration has enforced strict security measures, including a ban on aerial devices.

District Commissioner Deba Prasad Misra, IAS, has issued an order prohibiting the use of drones, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), balloons, and similar flying objects within a 3-kilometre radius of the event venue.

The directive has been implemented under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), aimed at ensuring public safety and maintaining law and order during the high-profile visit.

The restricted zone includes the Srimanta Sankardev Nagar Playground, where the Prime Minister is scheduled to address a public meeting, as well as the temporary helipad set up at Borboha Field.

Officials confirmed that the ban will remain in force throughout the duration of the Prime Minister’s visit on April 6. Authorities have urged the public to strictly comply with the order to avoid any legal action and to ensure smooth conduct of the event.
