Proceedings in the Zubeen Garg death case continued on Friday as the special fast-track court completed the hearing on the bail plea filed by Shyamkanu Mahanta. The court, however, reserved its verdict on the application and is expected to pronounce the order on April 30, 2026.

The court also heard matters related to the framing of charges against the accused during the day’s proceedings.

Meanwhile, co-accused Siddharth Sharma submitted a fresh bail petition after the court earlier asked him to rectify errors in his previous application. His earlier plea was reportedly rejected due to technical discrepancies. The revised bail application is scheduled to come up for hearing tomorrow.

In addition, the court completed arguments on the Zimma petition filed by Shyamkanu Mahanta. The judge has reserved the order on that petition as well and will announce the decision on April 30.

The case remains under close watch as the legal process continues in the fast-track court.
