CM Reviews Progress of Modern Housing Projects for Assam Police Personnel

Guwahati, Assam: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday reviewed the progress of housing projects being developed for personnel of the Assam Police, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to improving residential facilities for police officials and their families.

Sharing an update on X following the review, the Chief Minister said police personnel dedicate their lives to serving “Aai Asomi” and deserve the best possible facilities in recognition of their service.

“Our Assam Police officials dedicate a lifetime to serve Aai Asomi and they deserve the best when it comes to facilities. We are building the best housing facilities for them so that we take care of their families while they are on the line of duty,” Sarma wrote in his post.

The Chief Minister also stated that he reviewed the progress of the ongoing housing projects during the day. The initiative aims to provide improved residential accommodation for police personnel, ensuring that their families have better living conditions while officers remain engaged in their duties across the state.

The housing projects reflect the Assam government’s continued emphasis on strengthening welfare measures for police personnel through improved infrastructure. Better residential facilities are expected to provide a more secure and comfortable environment for the families of officers serving in various parts of the state.

The Chief Minister did not disclose further details regarding the locations, scale, or timeline of the housing projects during the review. However, the latest inspection indicates that work on the initiative is progressing under the government’s close supervision.
