Assam APSC Prelims to Be Offered in Assamese and English to Ensure Fairness

Guwahati, Assam – Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced a key reform for civil service aspirants in the state. To promote a level playing field and eliminate unfair advantages, the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) Civil Services Preliminary Examination question paper will now be set in both English and Assamese.

The move aims to benefit students primarily versed in Assamese, allowing them to compete more effectively in the state’s prestigious civil services examination. The announcement reflects the government’s commitment to inclusivity and equitable opportunities for all aspirants.
