Guwahati, July 1: The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has launched a new online portal, www.assamjustice.com, aimed at addressing public grievances and promoting social justice across the state. The initiative was formally unveiled on Monday at Rajiv Bhawan by Leader of the Opposition, Debabrata Saikia.
According to Saikia, the primary goal of the portal is to enhance communication with the public and hold the state government accountable. The platform will enable citizens to raise concerns on issues related to local governance, public health, education, roads, sanitation, and infrastructure.
“Inspired by the vision of Rahul Gandhi and aligned with the principles of the Indian National Congress, this portal is designed to offer a simple and accessible way for the people of Assam to submit grievances and demand solutions,” Saikia stated during the launch event.
Describing the platform as a digital bridge between the public and the opposition, he emphasized its role in protecting public rights, ensuring transparency, and exposing governance failures. Citizens from any part of Assam can lodge complaints through the portal, which will then be reviewed by the party and forwarded to the relevant government departments for necessary action.
The Congress leader added that the party would not only track and follow up on the complaints but also pressurize authorities to ensure timely resolution. Special attention will be given to complaints involving irregularities in the Panchayati Raj system, as well as in healthcare, education, and infrastructure development.
Saikia further clarified that www.assamjustice.com is not merely a complaint portal but a tool for consolidating ground-level realities, highlighting gaps in public service delivery, and mobilizing support to improve governance standards in the state.
The launch event was attended by several senior Congress leaders, marking a significant step in the party’s outreach efforts and its attempt to re-engage with the electorate ahead of upcoming political battles.
