Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on X that Assam Police has dismantled a major drug trafficking network in Dholai, Cachar district.
According to the CM, Cachar Police intercepted two vehicles during the operation and seized 464 grams of heroin, estimated to be worth ₹2.5 crore. Two alleged peddlers were arrested in connection with the case.
The Chief Minister lauded the police action, describing it as a significant step in “breaking the chains of the drug trade” in the state.
