Assam Police Seize Morphine Worth ₹2 Crore in Golaghat, One Peddler Arrested

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced another major success in the state’s ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking. In a post on X, he said that during a special naka checking operation, Golaghat Police arrested a drug peddler at Naokata and recovered 354.53 grams of morphine.

The seized narcotics are estimated to be worth around ₹2 crore. The Chief Minister praised the efforts of Assam Police, congratulating the team for their swift and effective action.

This operation adds to Assam’s consistent campaign against narcotics, reaffirming the government’s commitment to making the state drug-free.
