Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma congratulated the Prantika Cluster Level Federation from Tinsukia for achieving 1st position in the prestigious Atmanirbhar Sangathan Awards 2024, instituted by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India.

Taking to the social media platform X, CM Sarma wrote:

“Congratulations to Prantika Cluster Level Federation, Tinsukia on securing 1st Position in the prestigious Atmanirbhar Sangathan Awards 2024 by Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India @MoRD_GoI.
This recognition reaffirms the strong foundation Assam has laid to drive women-led development in the State.”

The Atmanirbhar Sangathan Awards recognize outstanding contributions by Self Help Groups (SHGs) and federations in empowering rural communities, particularly women. Prantika CLF’s achievement highlights the transformative role of women-led organisations in fostering economic self-reliance and rural development in Assam.

This national-level recognition also reinforces the state government’s continuous efforts under CM Himanta Biswa Sarma’s leadership to promote women’s entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, and grassroots empowerment through initiatives under the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM).

The award serves as both a moment of pride for Tinsukia district and a milestone for the entire state, showcasing Assam’s growing leadership in enabling sustainable, women-driven rural progress.
