The East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) team from Basistha Police Station has swiftly solved a mobile snatching case reported on October 31, 2025, at Sawkuchi.
According to a post by Guwahati Police on X, the accused, identified as 24-year-old Samir Ali from Datalpara, Milan Nagar Path, was arrested in connection with the incident. Police recovered the stolen Realme 11 Pro+ 5G smartphone along with the TVS Ntorq 125 scooter used in the crime.
Officials also seized another Oppo mobile phone and confirmed that the recovered scooter had no number plate. Legal action has been initiated against the accused.
Guwahati Police appreciated the swift and efficient action of the Basistha team, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety of citizens.
