The CID Assam has issued a strict warning against the circulation of a fake post-mortem report that is currently spreading on social media.
In an official post on X (formerly Twitter), CID Assam stated:

The so called Post Mortem Report is not authentic as it doesn’t even bear the signatures of any Doctors/ Experts. Assam Police is coming after each and everyone spreading such kind of Fake news/ Documents.🚨”

Along with the post, the agency shared images of the forged documents that are being circulated online.
Authorities clarified that the document lacks any official signatures or verification marks, confirming it as completely fake.
The CID has also cautioned that legal action will be taken against individuals spreading misinformation or sharing such fabricated documents.
Police have appealed to citizens to refrain from forwarding unverified information and rely only on official sources for updates.
