Assam Minister Ranoj Pegu on Sunday said that Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will distribute seed capital to more than 32,000 women from Self-Help Groups (SHGs) of the Dhemaji Assembly constituency on January 7.
In a post on X, Pegu stated that each beneficiary will receive ₹10,000 under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan, aimed at promoting women entrepreneurship across the state.
The minister said he inspected the selected venue for the programme at Deuribil Gaon in Dhemaji along with panchayat representatives, the Deputy Commissioner, and district police officials to review preparations.
Pegu also appealed for cooperation from all stakeholders to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the large-scale programme.
