An East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) team from Basistha Police Station busted a burglary module during an operation at Lalmati and apprehended two suspected habitual burglars on the spot.
According to an update shared by Guwahati Police on X, the arrested individuals have been identified as Pranjit Kalita (29) and Dilip Saikia (27), both residents of Lakhimpur.
During the operation, police recovered several burglary tools, including one ring wrench, one wrench, and one plier, indicating the duo’s involvement in break-in attempts.
Officials confirmed that legal action has been initiated, and further investigation is underway to determine their involvement in other similar incidents.
