Guwahati, August 30: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has introduced a new Mini Supersucker machine to address drainage and waterlogging problems in congested city areas.
In its latest update on X, GMC informed that the machine was deployed at Panjabari Kalakshetra Road to clear accumulated drain water. The Mini Supersucker is specially designed to operate efficiently in narrow and congested spaces where larger machines face limitations.
Officials said the initiative reflects GMC’s ongoing commitment to modernizing sanitation efforts and providing quick, adaptable solutions to improve urban cleanliness.
“This step is part of our continuous drive to tackle waterlogging and ensure smoother civic management across Guwahati,” the civic body noted.
The GMC also reiterated its appeal to citizens to support its initiatives under the theme “Our Guwahati, Our Responsibility.”
