Guwahati Police on Wednesday arrested a 28-year-old man and seized heroin during an operation near No. 3 Railway Gate in the Panbazar area.
Acting on source information, a team from the City Guwahati Police District (CGPD) under Panbazar Police Station conducted the operation and apprehended Biplop Deb Nath. During the search, police recovered seven plastic vials containing heroin, weighing a total of 9.1 grams.
Police officials said legal action has been initiated against the accused under relevant sections of the law.
