Hailakandi Police have apprehended two individuals and seized a significant quantity of heroin in a recent operation. The arrested are identified as Samsul Haque Barbhuiya, 28, of Narainpur Pt-III, and Selim Uddin Choudhury, 40, of Vichingcha Pt-I.
During the operation conducted at Nischintapur Pt-II, the police recovered one soap case containing 14.24 grams of heroin. Additionally, a scooty (AS11AB-6917) linked to the case was seized.
The case is registered under Hailakandi Police Station Case No. 134/2025, under Sections 21(b) and 29 of the NDPS Act.
Authorities have stated that further investigation is underway.
