Lakhimpur Police apprehended two individuals following a successful operation by the Bongalmara Outpost team, acting on credible intelligence. The accused have been identified as Md Kasem Ali and Ruhul Islam.
During the raid, police recovered 10 plastic vials containing suspected heroin weighing 12.70 grams. In addition, a mobile phone and a three-wheeler auto were seized from their possession.
Authorities stated that the operation was part of their ongoing crackdown on illegal narcotics in the district. Both accused are now in custody, and further legal action has been initiated to ensure a thorough investigation into the case.
