Morigaon, Assam Date: July 30, 2025: In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Morigaon Police arrested two individuals and seized a total of 5.76 grams of suspected heroin, along with cash and a motorcycle, in coordinated operations based on credible intelligence.
According to an official update from the Morigaon Police X handle (@MorigaonPolice), the first arrest was made by the Mayong Police Station, which apprehended Md Ekabar Ali of Buraburi. He was found in possession of 2.68 grams of suspected heroin and ₹4,140 in cash.
Further investigation based on this arrest led to another successful operation, resulting in the arrest of Rabbul Islam of Haibargaon. He was caught at Gagalmari with 3.08 grams of suspected heroin and a motorcycle used in the illicit trade.
