A key meeting of the Information Technology and Social Media sub-committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Dhemaji district unit was held on Thursday, with Assam minister Ranoj Pegu in attendance alongside local MP Pradan Baruah.
During the meeting, Pegu reviewed the role of IT and social media in creating public awareness about government welfare schemes and ongoing development initiatives. He also offered guidance on the responsible and effective use of digital platforms to strengthen communication with the public.
The meeting was attended by district BJP president Rupa Kaman, Chief Executive Member of the Deori Autonomous Council Bhairab Deori, and mandal presidents and office-bearers from across the district. Organisational matters related to strengthening the party structure in Dhemaji were also discussed in detail.
