Assam Cabinet Minister Ranoj Pegu on Tuesday inaugurated four newly constructed road projects with a total investment of ₹4.05 crore, marking a significant boost to local infrastructure and connectivity in the state. The projects were sanctioned under the State Owned Priority Development – General (SOPD-G) scheme and implemented through the Mukhyamantrir Paki Path Nirman Achani for the financial year 2023–24.
Sharing the update on social media platform X, Pegu stated that the works were executed by the Public Works Department (PWD – Roads), Dhemaji Territorial Road Division, reflecting the state government’s continued focus on strengthening rural and semi-urban road networks.
The roads inaugurated include:
- NH-15, Moinapara to Dighali Pathar
- Chutiapara to Dakshin Nalbari L.P. School
- Chetiagaon Tiniali to Aayang Tiniali via Koligaon
- Baduluka to Komarsola
According to the minister, these projects are expected to significantly improve connectivity in the region, ensuring smoother and safer transportation for residents. Enhanced road infrastructure will also support easier access to educational institutions, markets, healthcare facilities, and other essential services.
The Mukhyamantrir Paki Path Nirman Achani has been a key initiative of the Assam government to upgrade road conditions across the state, particularly in remote and underserved areas. By prioritizing durable, all-weather roads, the scheme aims to promote balanced regional development and improve the overall quality of life for local communities.
With the completion and inauguration of these roads, residents are likely to experience reduced travel time, improved mobility, and better economic opportunities, reinforcing infrastructure development as a cornerstone of Assam’s growth agenda.
