The Special Investigation Team (SIT) will present its chargesheet at 11 AM today in the high-profile Case No. 18/2025 concerning the death of celebrated singer Zubeen Garg. This follows an intensive three-month investigation that included interviews with more than 300 individuals.
Earlier in the probe, several accused—Sandeepan Garg, Siddhartha Sharma, Shyamkanu Mahanta, Amritprabha Mahanta, Shekhar Jyoti Goswami, and bodyguards Nandeshwar Bora and Paresh Baishya—were taken into custody. The forthcoming chargesheet is expected to outline the core factors behind the singer’s death, drawing on witness statements, digital materials, and financial records examined by investigators.
