Sribhumi Police carried out a successful anti-narcotics operation on Thursday, leading to the recovery of 9.053 kilograms of ganja from the Nilambazar Police Station area.
According to officials, the operation was conducted following credible intelligence inputs. During the raid, two individuals were apprehended in connection with the illegal possession and trafficking of the contraband.
Police sources confirmed that the accused have been taken into custody and are being interrogated to trace the wider network involved in the supply chain. Legal proceedings under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act have been initiated.
Authorities emphasized their continued commitment to curb the menace of drug trafficking in the region and urged the public to cooperate by sharing information on suspicious activities.
