Guwahati, March 27: Guwahati Police has successfully cracked a theft case involving electric clips, leading to the arrest of two accused persons in the city.
According to an official update shared by Guwahati Police on X, a team from the East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) under Dispur Police Station apprehended the suspects following an investigation.
The accused have been identified as Prakash Sharma (25), a resident of Gorchuk, and Riyajul Islam (26), a resident of Dakhingaon. Police recovered stolen electric clips worth approximately ₹15,000 from their possession.
Officials stated that the swift action by the police team helped in promptly solving the case and recovering the stolen items. Legal proceedings have been initiated against both individuals.
The operation highlights the continued efforts of Guwahati Police to curb theft and maintain law and order in the city.
