In his birthday note, the Dalai Lama emphasized the need for compassion, peace of mind, and altruism over material development, echoing the essence of his lifelong teachings.<\/p>\n
\u201cOn the occasion of my 90th birthday, I understand that well-wishers and friends in many places, including Tibetan communities, are gathering for celebrations,\u201d he wrote. \u201cI particularly appreciate the fact that many of you are using the occasion to engage in initiatives that highlight the importance of compassion, warm-heartedness, and altruism.\u201d<\/p>\n
Despite modestly describing himself as \u201cjust a simple Buddhist monk\u201d, the Dalai Lama’s message continues to inspire millions. He noted that while he does not typically celebrate his birthday, he is moved by the global observances organized in his honor.<\/p>\n
