This move aims to improve the quality of engineering education and expand academic capacity for aspiring students in the region.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Enhancement of Internal Security<\/strong><br \/>\nIn a major push to fortify the state\u2019s internal security framework, the Cabinet sanctioned the formation of the 6th Indian Reserve Battalion (IRBn). Arunachal Pradesh currently operates with two Arunachal Armed Police Battalions (AAPBn) and five Indian Reserve Battalions. The addition of a sixth IRBn is expected to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enhance local policing strength<\/li>\n<li>Reduce reliance on Central Armed Police Forces<\/li>\n<li>Create new employment avenues for local youths<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen law and order mechanisms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Child Protection Reforms<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Cabinet adopted Model Guidelines for Support Persons under Section 39 of the POCSO Act, 2012, with appropriate modifications tailored to Arunachal\u2019s needs. The guidelines stipulate:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Appointment of one support person for every 10 cases<\/li>\n<li>Defined qualifications, selection criteria, duties, and responsibilities for support persons<\/li>\n<li>Assistance to child victims during both pre-trial and trial stages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This decision reflects the government&#8217;s commitment to child-centric justice and support systems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Transparent Housing Allotment<\/strong><br \/>\nTo ensure fair and transparent distribution of general pool government quarters in both the state capital and districts, the Cabinet approved new allotment guidelines. The measure is aimed at:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preventing encroachment<\/li>\n<li>Eliminating misuse of government quarters<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring transparency and accountability in housing allocations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Legal Infrastructure Strengthened<\/strong><br \/>\nTo fortify the prosecution framework, the Cabinet approved the creation of the following posts in the Directorate of Prosecution:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3 Deputy Directors (Prosecution)<\/li>\n<li>10 Assistant Directors (Prosecution)<\/li>\n<li>18 Clerical Staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Furthermore, existing Additional Public Prosecutors will be re-designated as Deputy Directors. The pay matrix levels for Public Prosecutors, Additional Public Prosecutors, and Assistant Public Prosecutors have also been revised to align with current government norms.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Forensic Science Directorate Cadre Restructuring<\/strong><br \/>\nAs part of cadre reform in the Directorate of Forensic Science at the Police Training Centre in Banderdewa, the Cabinet approved:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Amendments to recruitment rules for Scientist-E, Scientist-D, Scientist-C, and Laboratory Assistants<\/li>\n<li>Changes in nomenclature<\/li>\n<li>Revision of pay structures for better parity and efficiency<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Strengthening Civil Aviation<\/strong><br \/>\nIn a move to expand civil aviation operations, the Cabinet approved the creation of 10 new posts under the Directorate of Civil Aviation. This aims to improve operational efficiency, air connectivity, and regional access across Arunachal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Departmental Restructuring<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Cabinet also approved the transfer of Veterinary Officer posts from the Rural Development Department to the Animal Husbandry, Veterinary and Dairy Development Department.
