Jammu, July 28, 2025 \u2014 A shocking hit-and-run incident has rocked Jammu\u2019s Gandhi Nagar area, where an elderly man riding a two-wheeler was critically injured after being struck twice by a Thar SUV. The collision, which took place near Green Belt Park on Sunday, has triggered public outrage and demands for swift justice.<\/p>\n
According to eyewitnesses and police reports, the SUV first hit the man while overtaking another vehicle and then deliberately reversed over him before fleeing the scene. The injured man was rushed to the hospital and is currently battling for his life in the ICU with a skull fracture and other critical injuries.<\/p>\n
The victim\u2019s family, visibly distressed, has demanded the strictest possible action against the driver.<\/p>\n
“Our father was hit twice by the person driving the Thar. Murder charges should be slapped against him. Our father is in the ICU, and doctors have said his condition is very critical. Hit-and-run cases were unheard of in Jammu\u2014this is something we hear happening in Delhi and other metros. We want justice,\u201d said the victim\u2019s son.<\/p>\n
