Guwahati:<\/strong> Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday highlighted the overwhelming public response to the Bharatiya Janata Party\u2019s (BJP) statewide Jana Ashirwad Yatra, sharing a series of posts on X that showcased large crowds, cultural symbolism, and enthusiastic participation at multiple locations, including Jagiroad.<\/p>\n

In one of his posts, Sarma shared visuals of the gathering and wrote, \u201cThis is the crowd in our #JanaAshirwadYatra today,\u201d underlining the scale of public turnout witnessed during the outreach programme. The Chief Minister later expressed gratitude for the response, stating that the enthusiasm and energy shown by people at every turn of the Yatra were deeply encouraging.<\/p>\n

The social media updates came amid the BJP\u2019s broader mass contact programme across Assam. The party officially launched the Jana Ashirwad Yatra from the historic Gupteshwar Temple premises in Dhekiajuli of Sonitpur district. The Yatra was flagged off in the presence of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and State BJP President Dilip Saikia, marking the start of a statewide campaign aimed at connecting with citizens at the grassroots level.<\/p>\n

Addressing the gathering at the launch, Sarma highlighted the Assam government\u2019s focus on infrastructure development, industrial expansion, employment generation, and welfare schemes. He urged people to support the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a \u201cViksit Bharat\u201d and a developed Assam.<\/p>\n

On its first day, the Jana Ashirwad Yatra covered Barsola, Tezpur, Naduar, and Rangapara. In Tezpur, widely regarded as a cultural centre of the state, BJP leaders paid tribute to eminent cultural icons such as Jyoti Prasad Agarwala, Bishnu Rabha, Phani Sharma, and Padmanath Gohain Baruah, acknowledging their lasting contributions to Assamese literature, music, and theatre.<\/p>\n
