{"id":3215,"date":"2026-03-07T12:21:51","date_gmt":"2026-03-07T06:51:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/assamtalks.com\/en\/?p=3215"},"modified":"2026-03-07T12:21:51","modified_gmt":"2026-03-07T06:51:51","slug":"gauhati-university-team-to-represent-assam-at-national-integration-camp-in-odisha","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/assamtalks.com\/en\/gauhati-university-team-to-represent-assam-at-national-integration-camp-in-odisha\/","title":{"rendered":"Gauhati University Team to Represent Assam at National Integration Camp in Odisha"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Guwahati, March 7: A nine-member contingent from Gauhati University will represent Assam at the upcoming National Integration Camp (NIC) scheduled to be held at Sambalpur University in Odisha from March 8 to March 14, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The team comprises eight NSS volunteers and one Programme Officer, who will participate in the week-long national camp aimed at fostering unity, cultural understanding, and cooperation among youth from across India. The camp is being organised by Sambalpur University under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, in collaboration with the State NSS Cell of the Government of Odisha and the Regional Directorate of NSS, Odisha.<\/p>\n<p>The Gauhati University delegation will be led by Dr. Jugabrat Das, Programme Officer of the NSS Unit of Goalpara College.<\/p>\n<p>The volunteers selected to represent the university come from four affiliated colleges. From Nowgong Girls\u2019 College, Shruti Sarma and Jarifa Azhar Choudhary will participate in the camp. Goalpara College will be represented by Kamrul Haque Choudhary and Dikshita Das. Hiren Saikia and Tinku Dey from Narangi Anchalik Mahavidyalaya have also been selected for the programme. Additionally, West Guwahati Commerce College will send Dipsikha Bora and Ravi Pandey as part of the delegation.<\/p>\n<p>The National Integration Camp brings together NSS volunteers from different parts of the country and provides a platform for them to exchange ideas, learn about diverse traditions, and strengthen the spirit of national integration.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of the team\u2019s departure, Gauhati University Vice Chancellor Prof. Nani Gopal Mahanta, Regional Director of NSS (NE Region) D.
