{"id":3723,"date":"2026-06-11T14:00:23","date_gmt":"2026-06-11T08:30:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/assamtalks.com\/en\/?p=3723"},"modified":"2026-06-11T14:00:23","modified_gmt":"2026-06-11T08:30:23","slug":"crs-to-inspect-katihar-kuretha-and-katihar-sonaili-double-line-sections-from-june-12-to-14","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/assamtalks.com\/en\/crs-to-inspect-katihar-kuretha-and-katihar-sonaili-double-line-sections-from-june-12-to-14\/","title":{"rendered":"CRS to Inspect Katihar\u2013Kuretha and Katihar\u2013Sonaili Double-Line Sections from June 12 to 14"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Maligaon, June 11:<\/strong> Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS), Northeast Frontier Circle, Kolkata, Sumeet Singhal, is scheduled to conduct a statutory inspection of the newly constructed broad gauge double-line sections between Katihar\u2013Kuretha and Katihar\u2013Sonaili in the Katihar Division of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) from June 12 to 14.<\/p>\n<p>The inspection is part of the commissioning process for the 64.14-km Katihar\u2013Kumedpur and Katihar\u2013Mukuria double-line projects, which are aimed at enhancing rail capacity and improving operational efficiency in the region.<\/p>\n<p>The project includes two important bridges, 27 major bridges and 23 minor bridges, and will serve 16 railway stations. Railway officials said the new double-line sections are expected to facilitate smoother train operations and strengthen connectivity across the network.<\/p>\n<p>During the inspection, the CRS will examine station infrastructure, tracks, bridges, signalling and telecommunication systems, electrical installations and safety arrangements.
