Guwahati<\/strong>: Two youths were arrested by Guwahati Police after allegedly being found in possession of suspected stolen property during an operation carried out by a team from Basistha Police Station under the East Guwahati Police District (EGPD).<\/p>\n

According to Guwahati Police, the accused have been identified as Biswajit Boro (22), a resident of Nalbari, and Rupam Sarkar (21) of Gorchuk. The arrests were made following an operation in which police recovered several items believed to have been stolen.<\/p>\n

The seized articles include one AC stabiliser, one tile-cutting machine and around 25 kilograms of electric wires. Police have taken the recovered items into custody as part of the ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n

Officials said legal action has been initiated against both accused under the relevant provisions of law. Further investigation is underway to establish the ownership of the recovered property and to determine whether the accused have any connection to other theft cases reported in the city.<\/p>\n

The latest arrests are part of Guwahati Police’s continued efforts to crack down on theft and property-related crimes. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to maintaining public safety and urged citizens to report suspicious activities to help prevent criminal incidents.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
