According to preliminary information, the incident occurred at around 2:30 pm near one of the academic buildings inside the campus.<\/p>\n<p>Police officials said the initial investigation points towards a suspected case of suicide. However, the exact circumstances surrounding the student&#8217;s death are yet to be established, and authorities are continuing their inquiry.<\/p>\n<p>Institute sources described Ritesh as a bright student with an outstanding academic record. He had recently secured an internship with Goldman Sachs, reflecting his academic achievements during his time at IIT Guwahati.<\/p>\n<p>The incident has sent shockwaves across the campus community. Police are examining the available evidence and speaking to relevant individuals as part of the investigation.
