{"id":4413,"date":"2026-09-19T11:53:42","date_gmt":"2026-09-19T06:23:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/assamtalks.com\/en\/?p=4413"},"modified":"2026-09-19T11:53:42","modified_gmt":"2026-09-19T06:23:42","slug":"guwahati-students-join-swachhata-hi-seva-2026-campaign-through-art-and-awareness-activities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/assamtalks.com\/en\/guwahati-students-join-swachhata-hi-seva-2026-campaign-through-art-and-awareness-activities\/","title":{"rendered":"Guwahati Students Join Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 Campaign Through Art and Awareness Activities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Guwahati, September 19, 2026:<\/strong> Students from several schools in Guwahati took an active role in the city&#8217;s cleanliness campaign as the second day of Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 focused on engaging young people in spreading awareness about sanitation and responsible waste management.<\/p>\n<p>The Day 2 activities were conducted under the theme \u201cSwachhata Mein Sahbhag; Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat\u201d, with the focus on \u201cSwachh Pathshala \u2013 Yuva for Swachhata.\u201d As part of the initiative, students participated in awareness activities and wall-painting programmes designed to communicate the importance of cleanliness through art and creativity.<\/p>\n<p>The participating students used public walls as platforms to convey messages about maintaining clean surroundings, segregating waste and adopting responsible waste-disposal practices. A particular emphasis was placed on four-way waste segregation, promoted through the campaign message \u201cAb Do Nahi Chaar.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) supported the student-led activities by providing paints and brushes. With these materials, students created colourful wall artwork carrying cleanliness-related messages, turning the activity into both a creative exercise and a public-awareness initiative.<\/p>\n<p>The programme also highlighted the importance of involving young people in cleanliness and sanitation efforts. By taking part in awareness drives and wall painting, students were encouraged to carry the message of responsible waste management to their schools, families and neighbourhoods.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative forms part of the broader Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 campaign, which places emphasis on public participation in cleanliness activities. The involvement of school students gives the campaign a community-oriented approach while encouraging the younger generation to understand their role in maintaining cleaner surroundings.<\/p>\n<p>GMC said the students&#8217; creative efforts were aimed at inspiring their peers and members of the wider community to contribute towards a cleaner and greener Guwahati.<\/p>\n<p>The Day 2 activities demonstrated how creative engagement can be used to communicate important civic messages.
