Dhemaji, October 29: Assam Education Minister Dr Ranoj Pegu has reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to providing quality, skill-based and future-oriented education to students, stressing the need for schools to adapt to advancements in science, technology and modern learning.

Addressing the open session of the 33rd Annual Conference of the Dhemaji District Academic Council on Thursday, Pegu highlighted the importance of strengthening secondary education to meet the evolving educational needs of the 21st century.

The conference, organised under the supervision of the District Education Department in Dhemaji, brought together heads of secondary schools to focus on matters relating to academic development and educational improvement.

During his address, the minister outlined various measures introduced by the Assam government to enhance the quality of secondary education. He acknowledged the continued support extended by the Dhemaji District Academic Council in advancing the government’s educational priorities.
