Dispur:<\/strong> 24 MLA’s of Assam can’t contest in panchayat polls. Out of 24 MLA’s 3 MLA cannot contest in Gaon Panchayat president post and other 21 MLA’s cannot contest in ZPC president post.<\/p>\n

This is because they do not have the necessary educational qualification as per Assam Panchayati Raj (Amendment) Act, 2018.<\/p>\n
