SONAPUR, Aug 28: A lightning strike at Zubeen Khetra in Sonapur on Friday morning disrupted activities at the venue, with three women reportedly sustaining minor injuries after a Nahor tree was brought down.
According to reports, the incident occurred while preparations and other activities were underway at the venue ahead of the first death anniversary of singer Zubeen Garg. The falling tree also damaged a poster and cutout featuring the late singer, with the upper portion of the image reportedly torn away.
The lightning strike also briefly affected the electricity supply at the site, causing concern among people present there. The incident comes as preparations continue at Zubeen Khetra for programmes marking the singer’s first death anniversary.
