Special Darshan and VIP Access Suspended at Kamakhya Temple During Ambubachi Mela

Guwahati: The authorities of Maa Kamakhya Temple, in coordination with the Kamrup Metropolitan district administration and Guwahati Traffic Police, have announced temporary restrictions on special and VIP darshan arrangements during the Ambubachi Mela period.

According to the official notification, the ₹501 special darshan facility will remain suspended on June 26 and 27. Additionally, no VIP or VVIP darshan arrangements will be available from June 21 to June 30 to ensure smooth crowd management and equal access for devotees visiting the temple.

The authorities further informed that devotees will be required to exit through the eastern gate after completing the circumambulation (parikrama) of the temple. The measures have been introduced to facilitate orderly movement of pilgrims and maintain security during the annual religious congregation, which attracts lakhs of devotees from across the country.
