EMRI Green Health Services, Assam, has announced that the state’s 108 Mrityunjoy Emergency Ambulance Services are now fully restored and rapidly moving toward complete operational stability. The organisation confirmed that emergency response systems have been reactivated across all districts, ensuring uninterrupted services for the public.
To rebuild and strengthen its workforce, EMRI has selected, trained, and deployed approximately 1,270 personnel across Assam. District administrations have also stepped in, providing an additional 300 staff members to reinforce field operations. More than 700 drivers are currently operating ambulances on a daily wage basis, ensuring seamless service both day and night. In total, the statewide operations are being supported by nearly 1,600 drivers and 700 Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs).
EMRI further stated that recruitment is ongoing for skilled professionals, including EMTs and ANM nurses, to fill any remaining vacancies and enhance service efficiency.
The 108 emergency call centre has also resumed full operations, now staffed entirely with newly recruited and trained personnel to handle calls promptly and effectively.
Reassuring the public, EMRI Green Health Services urged citizens to continue using the Mrityunjoy 108 ambulance facilities, stating that ambulances are fully available and functioning across the state to meet all emergency needs.
