Jakhalabandha, Nagaon, June 28: Assam Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu on Sunday participated in a community listening programme for the 135th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio programme, “Mann Ki Baat,” at Jakhalabandha under the Kaliabor Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC). The event was organised by the Booth No. 161 and Booth No. 163 Booth Committees in the presence of BJP karyakartas and local residents.
Dr. Pegu attended the programme along with Keshab Mahanta, Assam’s Minister for Revenue & Disaster Management, Science, Technology & Climate Change, and General Administration. The gathering brought together party workers and members of the local community, who collectively listened to the Prime Minister’s address.
Sharing details of the event in a post on X, Dr. Pegu said the 135th episode of Mann Ki Baat highlighted several inspiring initiatives from across the country. He noted that the Prime Minister’s address focused on key themes such as self-reliance, scientific thinking, social security, environmental conservation and people’s participation in nation-building, demonstrating how collective efforts and individual contributions are driving positive change across India.
Dr. Pegu said the programme continues to inspire citizens to actively contribute towards building a stronger, more developed and self-reliant India. He added that Mann Ki Baat serves as a platform for showcasing grassroots innovations, community-led initiatives and success stories from across the country, encouraging greater public participation in the nation’s development.
According to Dr. Pegu, the latest episode once again reflected the importance of collective responsibility and civic participation in achieving the vision of a developed India, while motivating people from all walks of life to play an active role in the country’s progress.
