Meghalaya CM Inaugurates Integrated Development Complex in West Garo Hills

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on April 17 inaugurated the Dalu Block Integrated Development Complex at Barengapara under the Dalu Community and Rural Development (C&RD) Block in West Garo Hills.

Announcing the development on X, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of block offices as the primary point of contact for citizens seeking government services. He stated that strengthening grassroots institutions is essential to ensure that development benefits reach every household.

The newly inaugurated complex has been designed as a one-stop centre for governance and service delivery, bringing multiple departments under a single roof. According to Sangma, the facility is expected to benefit over 12,000 households and more than 30,000 people in the region.

Emphasising the broader vision behind the initiative, the Chief Minister noted that the project aligns with the state government’s commitment to strengthening last-mile governance and empowering local institutions across Meghalaya.

He also urged officials and staff working at the complex to serve citizens with compassion and dedication, stressing the need to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives through efficient public service delivery.

The integrated complex is expected to streamline administrative processes, improve accessibility to government schemes, and enhance the overall efficiency of service delivery in the region.
