Guwahati: Taking a break from their demanding duties, more than 100 police personnel in Guwahati underwent eye examinations and consultations during a special health camp organised by the city police.
The eye check-up camp was held at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Guwahati Police District (CGPD), in collaboration with Centre For Sight Eye Hospital.
The initiative provided police personnel with an opportunity to undergo eye screening and seek professional medical advice regarding their eye health. More than 100 personnel participated in the programme and benefited from the consultations and examinations.
Police personnel often work for extended hours and operate in challenging conditions, making access to preventive healthcare an important part of maintaining their overall fitness and readiness for duty.
The programme was highlighted by Guwahati Police through its official social media account, with the force emphasising the importance of maintaining the health and well-being of its personnel.
The initiative also underlines the importance of regular health screening among frontline personnel, whose physical fitness is closely linked to their ability to perform their responsibilities effectively.
