Guwahati, Assam: An operation by the East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) team from Basistha Police Station has led to the arrest of three men allegedly wanted in connection with multiple theft and burglary cases in Guwahati.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Chang Kharkrang, 18, from Byrnihat; Bishal Boro, 23, from Kahilipara; and Ranjit Changma, 23, from Sonapur, Guwahati Police said.
According to the police, the three were apprehended during an investigation into theft and burglary-related cases.
Two mobile phones were recovered during the operation. Police said the seized items included one POCO handset and one OPPO handset.
Following the arrests and recovery, legal proceedings have been initiated against the three accused, police said.
The investigation remains underway as authorities continue to examine the alleged involvement of the arrested individuals in the cases for which they were wanted.
