Assam Rifles organised a dental health camp for children at the Sumi Baptist Church in Tuensang on April 25, 2026, as part of its ongoing healthcare outreach initiatives in remote areas of the Northeast.
According to a post shared by the force on X, the camp benefited 32 patients and provided a range of dental care services, including consultations, restorations, and tooth extractions.
The programme also focused on spreading awareness about oral hygiene and preventive dental care among children and local residents. Toothbrushes were distributed during the camp to encourage healthy dental practices and regular oral care habits.
In its statement, Assam Rifles said the initiative reflects its continued commitment towards community welfare and improving healthcare access in remote regions.
Such outreach programmes have become a regular part of Assam Rifles’ civic action efforts across northeastern states, where medical and health-related camps are frequently organised to support local communities with essential healthcare services.
Residents and community members reportedly appreciated the initiative, which helped provide basic dental treatment and awareness to children in the area.
