Jalukie: A total of 72 residents received free medical assistance during a healthcare outreach programme organised by the Assam Rifles at Veterinary Colony in Jalukie, Peren district of Nagaland.

The medical camp, held on August 19, 2026, provided essential healthcare services to members of the local community. The beneficiaries included 32 men, 26 women and 14 children.

During the programme, medical teams conducted health check-ups, offered basic treatment and distributed medicines. The camp also focused on spreading awareness about personal hygiene and preventive healthcare practices.

According to Assam Rifles, the initiative was aimed at improving access to basic healthcare services while encouraging people to adopt preventive health measures.

The outreach programme also served as an opportunity to strengthen engagement between the security force and the local community, promoting goodwill and civil-military relations in the region.
