Wrong blood transfusion kill a patient in AMCH, Dibrugarh.

Dibrugarh: A patient dies after allegedly infused with the blood of another group at the premier Assam Medical College & Hospital, B+ blood was given instead of O+ blood to the patient. Wrong blood transfusion killed the patient in Assam Medical College hospital, Dibrugarh.

Siddheswar Moran, who is around 70 years old,  of Kakopothar in Tinsukia district, had undergone an operation in the AMCH by the orthopedic department. He suffered a fracture in his leg but died after he was transfused with B+ blood after the surgery although his blood group was O+, his family members told.

Family members and locals get angry over the doctor’s irresponsibility and wrong treatment. And had given FIR in the local police station and asked to take a legal action against the doctor.

AMCH principal today accept their mistake and formed a committee to probe into the allegation and asked them to submit the report within 24 hours.
