Guwahati: The student of Gauhati University (GU) had stopped BJP legislators and members from entering the university campus on Sunday. They barred entry to them inside the university premises until theCitizenship Amendment Bill is withdrawn.
This news comes as protests sweep the state and also most northeastern states in the country. The Bill was passed by the Lok Sabha on January 8 and stalled by the Rajya Sabha on January 9.
The people of Assam had already taken many bold and extreme steps to protest against the Bill and are always ready to do whatever it takes for the withdrawal of the Bill.
